About Chef Tanner Purdum
I'm Tanner Purdum, owner and Executive Chef of The Wild Garlic. I make pizza and dad puns, but more importantly, I make dad puns. The Wild Garlic is a dream of mine that has become a reality. When I was in culinary school, before my wife and I married, we would talk about our dreams. We would talk about what our future family would look like, and what we would do if we could really do anything. For me, that dream was owning a business where I can craft delicious food and create an environment that fosters community.
More than 9 years in different kitchens and a wild one-year-old kid later (who happens to be my harshest critic), I’m doing what I’ve always dreamed of - creating and delivering a unique menu, sourcing local and fresh ingredients. Pulling from my experience as an Executive Chef, then cooking with some of the best chefs in the country at a James Beard award-winning restaurant, I aim to provide an exceptional experience. Because The Wild Garlic's goal is to produce foods of the highest quality, we source from farmers and artisans who share that vision.
